Presentation from the Agriculture Department
The Director of Agriculture Akatsi North, Mr. Mawuli Abusah touched on the need for proper record keeping before planting, during and after harvesting crops. He said, expenses made on weeding, planting, harvesting, fertilizer, labour and land rent should be recorded to enable the farmer to know whether profit had been made or lost. Mr. Abusah stressed the need for farmers to form groups and associations for easy accessibility of loans and effective sensitization. They should also engage in good farming practices for higher yields.
